Device Xpert- Configuration software for Field Xpert

Device Xpert configuration software makes Field Xpert the complete HART^® and/or FOUNDATION fieldbus communicator for industrial applications. Device Xpert is designed for project commissioning and maintenance. It is designed to support the daily requirements of field technicians.

By supporting special device functions, e.g. envelope curves from Endress+Hauser time-of-flight level transmitters and automatic distribution of Device Descriptions (DD) via Internet or WLAN, Device Xpert ensures quick and flexible working.

Device Xpert HART supports Endress+Hauser's Fieldgate FXA520, allowing Ethernet communication to your remote HART^® field devices.

Device Xpert FF supports Endress+Hauser's visitor SFC162 allowing HSE Ethernet communication to your remote FOUNDATION fieldbus devices.

Using several visitors SFC162, complete FOUNDATION fieldbus networks can be scanned and its devices configured.

Support for other communication protocols is in development.

The Windows Mobile™ operating system makes it possible to install further software applications for Plant Asset Management activities such as maintenance and documentation.

The Endress+Hauser software packages of the Xpert series run well on Field Xpert. This makes Field Xpert a real all-rounder for tough industrial applications.

Production time:

Endress+Hauser works to a defined standard production time (from order entry to goods issue) depending on the variant of the Field Xpert. Production times can be confirmed via your contact person.

Distribution:

Endress+Hauser will ship your order direct to your delivery address. In certain cases express or emergency shipments can be made on request.

As an alternative you can order the Device Xpert software on CD-ROM medium. For further information please contact your Endress+Hauser sales representative.

Field Xpert - Device Xpert configuration software needs the following software for mobile device installation and data synchronizations. The software can be downloaded from the Microsoft website depending to the operating system:

Device Xpert HART provides device description files (DDs) for round 1000 field devices of various vendors, as they are included in the certified DD library of the HART Communication Foundation.

Device Xpert FOUNDATION fieldbus provides device description files (DDs) for round 600 field devices of various vendors, as they are included in the certified DD library of the Fieldbus Foundation.

It has many additional features such as automatic scanning, a search function, a "my device” option, or the support of echo curves for Endress+Hauser level devices.

Device Xpert is distributed exclusively in combination with Field Xpert SFX100 high performance device configurator.
