Proline® Promag 53 Custody Transfer announcement

Proline® Promag 53W for Water and Wastewater applications

The Proline® Promag 53 has been approved for Custody Transfer fiscal meetering applications. With NTEP* Certified electromagnetic flowmeter, we have the unique position to offer an economical alternantive to Coriolis flowmeter solutions for corrosive, harsh acids, and conductive liquids in 3", 4", and 6" line sizes with a full array of electrode material options.

Also, with NTEP* Certificate, we can provide an accurate, highly repeatable, and robust meter that is proven for legal trade under real world conditions at 0.2% to NIST Handbook 44 criteria. It can offer the broadest range of liquid approval of any eletromagnetic approval in the United States. Normal liquids with densities between 0.9 and 1.5 SGU that are electrically conductive can be measured. These fluids include:

Water
Alcohol
Glycols
Water Mixes thereof
Agricultural Liquids
Fertilizers
Seeds and Herbicides
Chemicals
Solvents
Suspensions

The Custody Transfer Approved Promag 53 is the standard meter with additional security modifications. The local interface is blocked from use, remote programming access is disabled, and the transmitter is sealed by a wire security seal threaded through two drilled head screws in the electronic compartment. In short, the local display is visible a sa non-resettable totalizer. Once the meter is installed, configured, and proved in the application, access is denied to unauthorized personnel. Additional markings are also applied to the transmitter housing and meter neck support identifying the meter as a legal trade device.

*NTEP is the National Type Evaluation Program. This body witnesses testing and certifies the conformance to national standards of devices used in legal for trade applications.
