Safe, robust and precise water leakage monitoring system (LDS)

Inside a typical metallurgical plant, water cooling circuits are installed to control process heat and avoid thermal damage, or destruction of equipment. Water circuits are considered to be critical because malfunctions can alter the process and even influence the furnace itself. In some cases, personnel safety can be at risk which is why controlling the cooling circuit is both an operational concern and a safety issue.

Increase your plant safety

Monitoring involves checking the flow and temperature while also verifying the absence of leaks in the circuit by taking the individual production process' alarm management into account. Security relevant circuits are, for example tuyère cooling at the blast furnace (BF), lance cooling at the converter (BOF) and water cooling of the panels at electric or submerged arc furnaces (EAF/SAF). They can also be found on cupola ovens in foundries or on flash furnaces in copper smelters.
