Endress+Hauser Aids Plants Affected by Hurricane Harvey
Company and partner, Vector Controls, assess damage, troubleshoot problems and replace instruments
Our hearts continue to go out to all those affected by Hurricane Harvey. Its force has left behind many challenges for the Gulf region. Endress+Hauser and our sales and service partner, Vector Controls, are committed to helping our customers get back up and running safely and as soon as possible. Together, we can help you overcome these challenges.
Endress+Hauser and Vector Controls, in LaPorte, Texas, are coordinating efforts. More than 70 technicians and engineers are in the Gulf area, and Endress+Hauser is anticipating needs by increasing production at its US manufacturing facilities. The companies have mobilized teams in the Gulf and around the country that are providing 24/7 support as customers work to get operations back online.
Here when customers need it the most
“Our technicians can examine process control loops and assess damage, troubleshoot loop issues, and calibrate and repair Endress+Hauser devices—as well as devices from other vendors—and recommend replacements if needed,” says Todd Lucey, General Manager of Endress+Hauser’s US sales operations. “Our technicians also have the full support of the Endress+Hauser US production centers to provide replacements and spare parts quickly.”
Service and support
“We can provide individual technicians as well as an entire start-up team,” Lucey says. “Start-up teams could include project engineering managers, commissioning managers, control system programmers, instrumentation technicians, as well as valve technicians. Endress+Hauser service and support teams are ready to be an extension of a plant’s existing teams to help make a re-start be safe and as efficient as possible.”
Helping the community
Endress+Hauser set up an employee donation program and more than $4,000 was raised by employees and area sales representatives. The company matched the donation, totaling a contribution of $8,200 to hurricane recovery efforts.
“Our hearts are with everyone that have been in the path of Hurricane Harvey,” adds Lucey. “The spirit of the people of Texas, and the Vector team amazes and inspires the Endress+Hauser team. We understand the challenges now, and to come, and are here to help.”
Going above and beyond
“A lot of work, time, energy, thought process and actions have already been done by many people working at all hours of the day over the last week since Hurricane Harvey first came ashore,” observes Lucey. “I would like to personally thank everyone who has already gone above and beyond to help, and will continue to do so in the coming months.”
